Making Book Covers

It's currently 10:43. I've already had three cups of Moroccan Mint and I a couple of days ago I noticed my biscuits lost their crispiness. Quite a shame. My floor is a mess of torn jeans, scissors and various books. I've been occupying myself with making book covers for my school books. It's a custom that everybody makes book covers as to prevent them from getting damaged throughout the year. I'm quite late on that part, already being halfway through the school year, but it is never too late to start.

I'm using my old jeans to make covers for my books. I like the way they look and they make such good pillows with their soft covers. I actually slept through the last part of the movie Apollo during physics class. I was feeling really tired and the lights were dimmed making the classroom so dark, and everybody was watching the movie. The perfect opportunity arose and I took it face first. On my table, laying on my soft books.

So now my goal is to make covers for all my school books. I only have covers for my smaller books, and one for my chemistry book which is quite large right now, but soon they will all be blue and fluffy. I think I'm going to leave my room as is for the night. I don't want to disturb my work. I'm currently working on a cover for my biology book which is pretty gigantic compared to the others. I don't want to ruin any progress I have made on that one so far. Getting all the measurements right is not an easy task.

My mom barged into my room at around 10 PM. I've been hitting the snooze button since 6:30 AM. The alarm goes off every nine minutes after you hit snooze so I must have hit snooze quite a few times. I only remember hitting snooze five times, like how did I miss the other, I-don't- know-how-many-and-I-can't-be-bothered-to-actuallly-do-the-math-right-now-ones?

I casually strolled into biology class five minutes till the bell would announce break time. Mr Dirkx looked rather surprise at my explaination to my lateness. He was kind enough not to order me to get a note for getting late. I also heard today that he, Mr Dirkx, could have been a doctor, but instead of doing that he choose to educate us ignorant fools on the wonders of the human body and the nature around us. That's pretty cool. Respect.

During the break I stuffed everything except for my gymnastics cloths into my locker. I always have Physical Education on Thursday. The ironic part is that the trip to get to the place is actually more exhausting than the two hours we spend on this so called Physical Education. Fine with me, though. I hate the subject. The teacher is pretty cool, though. Mrs Van Deijk is a kind woman.

On the way to, and from, PE I always pass by my house. So when the trampoline jumping and football was over I cycled over to my house and drank some multi fruit juice with some fancy music from my mom's computer. After that I was on my merry way again to my next class: computer science by none other than Mr Elsenaar.

The class was very amusing but not very productive. It's hard to concentrate when the teacher is watching parts of Battle Royale; some kind of japanse hunger games, and ordering stuff on Bol.com. All on his phone and the sound was enabled. I only managed to write down the name of the chapter we were dealing with and the paragraph. I also read for a bit but it didn't really stuck. These activities mostly sum up the entirety of the two hours of computer science I've had today. We also talked about the Gospils of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. That stuff is just genius.

Since a short time religious head gear is allowed on our school. When Mr Elsenaar was showing some stuff about the Pastafarian believes and their head gear; a colander, it made me wonder if that is allowed now too. Of if someone shows up in pirate cloths wearing a colander I'll give that person a high five.

Between the first and second hour of computer science there was physics. I casually strolled into the class room and what my eyes saw made me freeze in fear, on the inside that is. To others I might have looked completely calm but inwardly I was screaming and pulling my hair out in terror. All the tables were moved apart from each other, each one having a test sheet and two accompanying answer sheets. Luckily my inner terror didn't last long because I thought it was a pre-test for practise. I heard that one from someone.

So I choose a table at the back, somewhere around the place where I normally sit. The tables were placed at really weird angles at some places so the whole classroom looked like a mess of random tables and chairs. Not knowing it was the actual test I started with the nine questions asked on the pieces of paper. I was taking my sweet sweet time and I actually finished it in time, sort of.

I think I did pretty well. It was quite a shock when I found out I had been making the actual test, though. That was by far the most relaxed test I have ever taken. I should have more unexpected tests. I had no foreknowledge of the test so I hope I did well. I don't want Mr Endert thinking I'm stupid. He is quite adorable in a non romantic way, just so nerdy.

Because this schoolday has been so long, and I took a few extra hours this morning to remain in dream land, I didn't nap this afternoon. I only have four lessons tomorrow and after that decor building, which is nice.

Appearantly my memory has proven it can be even more retarded than it already is. When I was watching TV with my sister and there was an other commercial break I honestly forgot what I was watching prior to the break. I actually had to ask my sister what we were watching. Weirdest moment of the day. I really couldn't remember, so disturbing. It's the old woman all over again.

I'm thinking of watching the series Ripper Street. Mostly because there is, I think, this gay couple and I am a sucker for romance. Also, the one with the glasses is hot. I feel kind of bad for wanting to follow a series because of those motives. It deserves more praise than that judging from what little I have seen from it so far.

The sequal to A Debt To Be Repaid came out a day ago and I'm loving it so far. It's called A Fire To Be Reignited. I recommend anyone to check both A Debt To Be Repaid and A Fire To Be Reignited out, for their awesomness has yet to surpasses any other Sherlock fan fiction I have read so far. Warning: A Fire To Be Reignited has an M rating so it can, and most likely will contain violence and adult content.

I've been occupying myself with Sherlock fan fiction this evening, mostly. And sipping tea. A lot of tea. It's now  11:22 PM, and I am going to bed. Forgive me for any mistakes I have made thanks to my retarded train of thoughts like double words, missing words, or misplaced words.

I have a strong urge to look up Doctor Who fan fiction featuring the Master. I have no idea why.

Well, that was my day. How was yours?

Appointment on Wednesday

I'm feeling incredibly tired. I took two short naps today. One after I got back from my appointment with my psychologist, and an other one after dinner. My mom woke me up from the last one when she was wishing me good night. The irony.

I talked with Merel, my psychologist, for roughly an hour or so. It wasn't very helpful and at the end I felt like I wasted my time. She did give me an other assignment to do. An other 'write about your feels' sort of deal.

My mom washed my lens cup. My now ex boyfriend gave it to me when I was at his place in Ireland. It looks fabulous and I love it! I'm happy it's back in my possession. It has been out of my sight for a while now, but no more.

My most kind chemistry teacher, Mr Van Well, was explaining about some stuff while pacing the class room. He stopped at my table and suddenly announced to the whole class that I had lice, which for the record, I don't. No one laughed. That man can be the greatest asshole known to mankind, seriously. Of course I had to make a snarky comment back like "Well aren't you a kind man". "Well, am I?" he replied to which I answered "No." Now I write about it a story pops in my mind about a man who plays jinxed scrabble with his wife and he desperately wants to kill her.

I think I need to get my B12 shot again tomorrow. If things carry on the way I do now I'll be getting more bad marks, and that is not something I am fond of. Sleeping during the day is easier than sleeping during the night. Perhaps due to the cold the darkness brings after the sun as begun his rotation on the side of the earth where it's rays do no longer reach us.

For the past hour I have been emerged in the universe of Sherlock Holmes Fan fiction. There is this particular story I'm really liking. It has around 40 chapters so I got quite a few more chapters to look forward to.

Well, that was my day. How was yours?

A Whole New Selection of Sherlock Fan Fictions

Surf the tides of creativity on a sea of imagination~!

I took an other power nap this afternoon. When I woke up at around half ten PM I had the sudden urge to buy crisps. I got dressed and hurried off downstairs. My mom asked me to get some macadamia nuts for her for I was going to the store anyway. It took some time but I found them. The cashier made a calculation fault and gave me one euro more change, which is really convenient. This trip didn't cost me anything in the end, it actually put me thirty cents in the plus.

My previous late night resolution failed dramatically in the morning. I didn't even have time to drink tea. At least I didn't have to dive into a corridor to avoid the hawk vision of the principle this morning. Been there, done that, let's not make it happen again. It did make me feel like a badass ninja, though.

My Dutch teacher announced that we will have to give an other talk this year. An other one, argh I hate those. I still have to do my first talk, not that I am going to mention that to anyone. I'm the last one to hold my speech at somewhere around June. Can't say I won't enough time to prepare. I also got some information on when the exams are and dates of various holidays. Always nice to know those things.

I found a few more excellent, long, Sherlock fan fictions on fanfiction.net. I'm so looking forward to reading them all. I'm going to give as much feedback as possible to all authors. I know that getting feedback is one of the most wonderful, if not The most wonderful thing to get as a writer. I even found one that is about the exact thing I was thinking of writing about. The sequel to A Dept To Be Repaid will be released soon, too!

A chemistry test is coming up this Thursday, so tomorrow is the last time we can ask questions regarding that subject. This chapter has mostly been about covalence between atoms and hydrogen bridges. So mostly how atoms are connected via electrons in the outer shell. How I'm saying it right now might not be completely accurate. I really have some studying to do.

We had an two hour long arithmetic test and I think you can make a book with the amount of sheets I used to write down random crap. I scored five percent higher than my previous score with a total of 50%. Jay. I'm so happy that by the time they make arithmetic an obligatory subject in central exams I will already have graduated.

I feel like I am missing days. I see the blog entries I did everyday, but a lot is just missing. I also had such a strange experience today while cycling home. There was this old lady in front of me. She was cycling really slow so I sped past her. And then I saw the exact same woman cycling in front of me, again. It was so weird. I passed her again, and then I saw that old lady again. Weirdest thing ever. Like she teleported ahead of me to get in my way again. Quite bothersome.

I wanted to return Mrs Rozema's book to her today when I found her in the connecting hallway from the main entrance. It's where all the teachers' offices are positioned. Like the dean's office, principle's office, etc. Mrs Rozema is my art history teacher and she let me borrow her book during the holidays. I don't have a book for that class since I squeezed it into my timetable as an extra subject. She told me that I could hold onto it for a little longer, or at least till Friday. I always have art history on Friday.

I have two free hours tomorrow which give me some time to do a little bit of homework. I'm going to upload quite a few new songs to my phone for tomorrow, too. Free hours without music is like a sandwich without ham, or something like that. I might work on that PE assignment. It has to be done on Thursday, I really need to get started on it. Damn my procrastinating.

Tomorrow is also the date of my next appointment with Merel; my psychologist. I've been dutifully keeping track of all my moods, three times a day, since our last appointment. One sticky note per part of the day. I have quite a big stack of sticky notes laying on my desk now.

My mom asked me when the last time was that I went to the doctor to get my B12  shot, which was like four weeks ago. I now have a doctor appointment for scheduled for Thursday. I'm not happy about it. It's probably a better alternative than sleeping twelve hours a day, though.

Well, that was my day. How was yours?

The Monday After the holidays

Yesterday evening I specifically told myself that I was going to get up in time. So I thought. When you live 10 minutes away from school you always think you can still make it in time. It's the ultimate procrastination trap.

I rolled out of bed at 7:20, got dressed and barely managed to gulp down some tea, only to hurry off with a bag that weight a ton to the shed where my bike resides. When I finally arrived at school I had this smug smile on my face for some reason. I just felt smug. I managed to dive out of the line of sight of Mrs Gillisen, the principle, into the connecting hallway. I felt like such a ninja.

Luckily Mr Moelker, my maths teacher, was very casual about my late appearance and he started giving his signature notes. The kind of notes that makes everyone's brains turn to goo. And that at first thing in the morning. On a Monday. On a Monday right after the holidays. That man truly knows no mercy. That, or he is just so passionate about the subject that he can talk about it all day. I think it's the latter, Mr Moelker is very compassionate and quite frankly, a genius.

The second hour was quite amusing with none other than our fabulous biology teacher Mr Dirkx. We talked about vaginas and balls. I know I shouldn't, but I felt quite awkward by his colorful and flamboyant statements of the genitals of the human body.

During art class today our teacher Mr. De Ligt gave us a paper and splattered two colors of acrylic oil paint on to it for us to copy with a medium we hadn't tried yet. It looked like a nosebleed, it so did. The motivation was mostly missing and I mostly chatted with my friend Birgit. I did produce something on my paper, though. Mr Ligt asked me to take a photo of the drain because it was splattered with some interesting colors. Now I don't know if I should send the photo to him or not. He did ask me to take it, but was it for him or for my own progress.

I discovered I forgot my wallet when I wanted to go to the Plus to get the day special of three croissants. My friend Marc wanted to pay for me but I don't want to owe anyone so I declined. We did a practical physics assignment today which went relatively well apart from the panick at the end. We weren't done at the end so I had to rush some answers. I hope it went alright; it counts as an accumaliteve mark for our school exams. I have no idea what it means but it sounds important. After all, it has the words "School exams" in it. At times my vocabulary is poor at best. On the sheet I spelled Marc's name like 'Mark', which made him get so angry at me. It was pretty funny. Everybody spells his name wrong, you see. It all started during one of the Gregorius Shows, where they spelled it like 'Mark' in the folders.

Today went by in a haze. I only slept like three hours, I just laid awake for several hours contemplating everything and nothing at the same time. It wasn't very productive and it sucked.

After school I stopped by the Bruna to check if they had the book I Am Number Four from the Lorien Legacies. They didn't have it so I ordered the English version of it. I could have ordered the Dutch version, but most Dutch books are really bad. Almost everything sounds better in English if you compare it to Dutch. Initially I was really scared to enter the store because I'm an awkward derp like that, but I managed to actually do it. It should be able to pick it up on Tuesday or Thursday next week. I'm really looking forward to it.

Once I reached my bed ROXANNE.EXE stopped working. I just flat lined with all my cloths still on. I only managed to take my jacket off. I was so tired. I slept till eight PM, giving me around five hours of sleep. After that I laid in bed until my mom called me saying we were eating take out chips. They were really nice. I did feel like the bin of the house that evening, though. I ate all the left overs. All of them. Almost three meals. I must say I was pretty full after that.

It's currently twenty one past midnight and here I am sipping my tea again. I did almost all my homework for tomorrow, except for mathematics. We don't have that tomorrow so I'm going to procrastinate on that. I hear my bed calling to me. Even though I had those five extra hours of sleep I'm still feeling tired.

I want to be a good student who always does her homework and pays attention during class. That is my new year resolve, and I shall stand fast. Tomorrow I'm going to try to just roll myself out of bed onto the floor with a dramatic smack. Maybe that will wake me up. I want to be able to sip my tea with all the time in the world like an old man.

Well, that was my day. How was yours?

6.1.14

Sherlock S3E2

I'm currently sitting in my room at a quarter to midnight with my sister who wanted to dry her hair. She didn't want to raise hell by waking our mom, so she migrated upstairs with her noisy device. In fact, she just left, and the kettle just started boiling. I wanted to offer her some tea, but I only have one mug. Too bad, then.

I think I'm leaving the tea for tomorrow morning. I want to make tea in the morning a habit so I will get up with more ease. I tried making bread a few times, but that requires me to get up at four in the morning and that is just not worth it. The bread was good, though. Really good. It also produced a wonderful fresh bread smell like I often experience during work.

I woke up at around three PM, and actually got up at around four. I had some pretty weird dreams, which I forgot after 10 minutes of actually waking up. I do remember that I thought of making a transcription of the sorts about them like I did with a dream I had before.

Broadchurch was broadcasted this evening, and it seems interesting. I only watched episode one, and a bit of episode two, which was being broadcasted right after the first one, because at 21:30 Sherlock S3E2 aired. It wasn't as spectacular as previous episodes but it was grand. I face palmed myself, repeatedly, at Sherlock's social incompetence, but it was enjoyable and I am so looking forward to episode three, where they will reveal an other one of Sherlock's enemies. And Mycroft is involved! I love Mycroft, I don't know why, but I love him.

I still have to do that PE assignment and begin with the practical work of one of those Java books. It all seems mighty fancy and I hate myself for procrastinating with it all. There is a spoon with lasagna laying on my microwave, which is totally unrelated. Thought I'd mention it.

They changed the school website. Now it just has too much... Yellow. I think the addition of a Facebook page was really nice, but now they went with a total overhaul and I don't like it. It has a good first impression, and maybe I'm just whining about it, but I can't find a link to our school's Moodle site. Moodle is like a site where teachers post announcements, assignments, and answers to those assignments. So when I couldn't find it I wasn't so happy with the new site update anymore. It's not so old school anymore, and I like old school. I am old school. Now I feel old.

We had an applied mathematics teacher once by the name Bontebal  and he sucked. He got fired for being so incompetent in his profession, causing various classes to fail dramatically on the subject, and the got fired. So the story goes. I don't know if that's completely true but so far that is the most convincing explanation I've heard around his leave.

One day we had this fundraiser project. My idea to raise money was to make portraits of people with my, in that time, newly acquired mirror reflect photo camera. It came to be that I also acquired a photograph of Mr Bontebal in a most, well, socially compromising shot. Basically it is him posing as a giant sun flower. He specifically asked me not to post this anywhere, a promise I kept for over a year. At that time he still worked at our school.

My sister kept begging me to give her that photo so she could spread it around. Now he is gone I think it will be pretty funny. It will give quite a few people a good laugh. For shits and giggles.

I'm going to order a book on Bol.com, or at the Bruna; a book and office supply store. I've seen the movie I Am Number Four recently and looked up some fan fiction on it. It's said that it is a good book and I'm interested. First I couldn't find it on Fanfiction.net because the book series is not actually called I Am Number Four, but goes by the name Lorien Legacies.

School starts again tomorrow and I'd say I could do with a few more weeks without school. I don't want to go to sleep yet. I rather read and drink tea. Yum, Moroccan Mint. I haven't met up with anyone these weeks. Maybe I'm getting lonely. I don't know. I feel lonely at times but I have this convenient ability to simply not care. To just turn off my emotions. It's great, at times.

Right before my sister left my room she commented how I wasn't John Watson from Sherlock because I started writing today's entry in front of her. Derp.

Well, that was my day. How was yours?

Late Night Doodling

When I woke up I didn't want to wake up at all. I just wanted to sleep. I kept hitting the snoze button on my alarm till 12:10; half an hour before I had to leave for work.

Work was pretty chaotic today. Paul wanted to get a lot of stuff done and all of a sudden he starts inspecting my work. It was uncomfortable and made it hard to focus, making me mess up on some stuff; making me look like an ignorant fool towards my boss. Normally we are done fifteen minutes after closing time, and we close at six o'clock. But we weren't done. We were fifteen minutes late. I have known better days. On the bright side, I got to chat with a few co-workers throughout the day, and at the end of the day I was the person with the most experience of us all. I felt all proud.

After work I went straight to the Albert Heijn, a grocery store right next to my work. It closes at 22:00, so that's convenient for those people who have to work till 18:15. I grabbed myself some Hero Fruit Today, which is quite nice, and went on my merry way home. I wanted fruit drink, and I wanted it now. So, after I got home I got a glass and poured myself some multi fruit goodness. It was good, I drank almost the entire one Liter bottle.

I stayed downstairs for a little until my mom's friend; Frans, came over. That's when I retreated upstairs and made myself a cup of tea. I played Minecraft for a bit, chatted with people on Skype, and then I started listening to Doctor Who soundtracks on YouTube. Murray Gold is such a good composer, his scores on Doctor who are golden.

Now it's one in the morning and I have no idea what I should do and I'm bored out of my mind. I'm tired, but I don't want to go to bed because that is a waste of time, but I also don't want to do anything productive because, well, I don't know. I thought of a few things, but I don't want to do them. Eventually I just started doodling on sticky notes and on a piece of paper I used once to test colors. For some reason I always start drawing eyes in Manga style.

One more day until school starts and I haven't done a single thing related to that. I only read some things from those books my physics and computer science teachers gave me, but for the rest that's it. I still have to do that PE assignment which I got for not showing up too many times, and I probably have some essays coming up in a week or so. I am worrying about everything, it is just insane.

Well, that was my day. How was yours?

4.1.14

Sobbing over 11

Today is Friday. Meaning that yesterday was Thursday. Meaning that I was too late with calling back my boss about whether I could work on Friday, today, or not. I hope I don't get in trouble because of that. Probably not, but I actually wanted to make a little extra money, so this opportunity was actually a nice way to do that.

I went outside to go to the nearest Plus; a grocery store of the sorts, to get some tea and biscuits to with said tea. Of course, at the exact time I wanted to leave it started raining like crazy. I waited it for a bit. My mom asked me to bring sweet cream cheese in peppers for her, too. While I was walking, outside, I felt so nervous for some reason. I don't go outside a lot you see, maybe that was the reason why I felt that way.

When I was almost there I remembered seeing my old mathematics teacher, Mr Adrieans, in the Plus when we were getting a cake for Katinka's birthday party with my friends about a year ago. It was in that exact same Plus and he was with his little adorable son. He was going on about red food dyes in, and how that makes him hyperactive. That's why he was looking at the back of all these candy bags to check for this. The whole situation was a funny coincidence.

On the way back my bag was loaded. It was bulging out from both sides and it was difficult to carry the thing due to the weight. When I got home I showed the pepperschnaps I got for my mom to her, and she asked me if I ever heard of the Fresh vegetable department, saying I could as well throw it away immediately since the ones I got her were disgusting. She came around later and told me they were fine, though.

I tried out the Moroccan Mint tea flavor first, and it was pretty good. Very fresh. I put all my tea in my Pick wick tea box, which I finally cleaned, and used the empty tea boxes to store my biscuits in.

This evening I watched the Doctor Who Christmas Special 2013: The Time of the Doctor, and wow, I sobbed for at least 10 minutes straight during, and after the ending. I immediately looked up the soundtrack that played at the end of the episode, which only tore me up more. After grieving for the death of the 11th Doctor I drank some more tea. There were just so many feels then. So many feels. The scene was done magnificent. I didn't realize I loved 11 so much until he was gone. I hated him at first, then I thought he was fine, and then he was the Doctor. The Doctor.

I can't stop eating biscuits while I'm drinking tea, it's dramatic. Luckily I have, well had, 4 rolls of them. Now I only have 3 left. I ate lasagna while I started watching the Christmas special of Doctor Who. It took me ages to find, but it was worth it.

I still have laundry to do which I didn't do yesterday.

Well, that was my day. How was yours?
